Sales Rising Slowly but Surely

From our friends at Floor Covering Weekly:

This year didn’t quite meet industry expectations on a number of fronts. First, after getting off to an encouraging start, sales began to fizzle come September — later though than when sales stalled in 2011. Industry executives reported that while sales remain in the low single digits, mainly between 3 and 5 percent, they are confident that the trend is heading back up.

New Project - Free Axez for TEAL at Yale University

Check out our new project:

Free Axez for the Technology Enhanced Active Learning Center classroom (TEAL)

The use of Free Axez allows for the accommodation of cables, wires and sensitive equipment used to facilitate and organize this up and

coming higher education concept.

Rather than have a professor teach to a lecture hall of 130 students they break up into tables of nine and every table has a computer monitor on it. The professor can see the students on his computer, similar to skype, and the students can see the professor on their monitor. They engage and exchange spreadsheets, pictures, and documents with each other or with the group. It is a way to use technology to make the classroom experience more interpersonal.

We are currently working on another similar concept at Columbia called SCALE UP – Student Centered Active Learning Environment for Undergraduate Programs.
